Over the past year I have become increasingly long sighted so painting over a black undercoat has become a right pain. Inspired by a couple of threads on the PP forum I have now decided to do my new Skorne with washes, inks and dip over a white undercoat. First up, a converted Cyclops Savage. I got him off e-bay with two left arms so he’s been re-armed with a new weapon and clutching a skeleton:
First note to self – clean up flash lines better, more easily seen over white!

He isn’t as glossy as I was led to believe and I must admit I was really impressed with the effect. Next day, with some matt varnishing, highlighting and inking later:
